Waiver-Eligibility
The "Review Journal of Social Psychology & Social Works" (RJSPSW) recognizes that there may be circumstances under which authors experience financial hardship or constraints that limit their ability to pay the publication fee. To address these situations, RJSPSW offers a limited waiver program for article processing charges (APCs).
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for a waiver, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Corresponding author status: The applicant must be the corresponding author of the submitted manuscript.
- Financial hardship: The applicant must demonstrate verifiable financial hardship that makes it difficult to pay the APC. This could include, but is not limited to:
- Being a student without institutional funding
- Being affiliated with a low-resource institution
- Experiencing unexpected financial difficulties
- Academic merit of the manuscript: The submitted manuscript must be of high academic merit and deemed suitable for publication in RJSPSW by the editors and reviewers.
Waiver Types and Coverage:
RJSPSW offers two types of waivers, with varying levels of coverage:
- Full waiver: This waiver covers the entire APC for the accepted manuscript.
- Partial waiver: This waiver covers a portion of the APC, typically 50%.
Application Process:
To apply for a waiver, applicants must submit the following documents along with their manuscript:
- Waiver application form: This form, available on the RJSPSW website, requires applicants to provide details about their financial hardship and justification for the waiver.
- Supporting documentation: This may include financial statements, proof of institutional affiliation, or other relevant documents that support the applicant's claim of financial hardship.
Decision Process:
Waiver applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of editors and members of the editorial board. The committee will consider the applicant's eligibility criteria, the justification for the waiver, and the supporting documentation.
